Bio: Tammy Noel, Executive Director for NAMI Wyoming, grew up in the Casper, Wyoming area graduating from Natrona County High School and the University of Wyoming with a BA in Social Science in 2008. She is married and has three children, one with special needs who is also diagnosed with a mental health condition. Prior to working for NAMI Wyoming, Tammy worked for the Natrona County School District as a Teaching Assistant in a Behavioral and Social Skills classroom. Following the completion of her Bachelor’s degree, Tammy worked for Mercer Family Resource Center as a Family and Parenting Coordinator and as a case manager for the Child in Need of Supervision (CHINS) prevention program. Currently, Tammy is working towards a MA in General Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. Her goal in working for NAMI Wyoming is to increase awareness through the use of NAMI’s signature programs, assist the affiliates in their wonderful grass root work around the state, and make NAMI a household name within the State of Wyoming.
Bio: With the desire to connect her passions for interpersonal skills building and advocating for those touch by mental illness Amanda left a job of over seven years within a wellness organization. In October of 2015 she joined our NAMI Wyoming team. Amanda is inspired by the opportunity to focus on the vital components of wellbeing, mental health and connecting communites. With over twenty years of experience in client service and support along with sales and corporate engagement, the role of Statewide Membership and Affiliate Coordinator is a natural fit. Eliminating painful stigmas facing those living with mental illness, education in the community and support for family members are just a few tangible goals Amanda is setting.
